Key aims of Project Food
To encourage the public to minimise their food waste and to suggest options for dealing with the waste that occurs.

OUTCOME OF PROJECT FOOD
This CASA initiative demonstrated actual number of tonnes of food waste that got saved or processed instead of being thrown or incinerated. Project Food also generated a public awareness campaign on how to reduce food waste and this was carried out by the 3 organizations listed below.
World Wildlife Fund
WWF implemented an Eco-Schools Project which involved food waste edutainment activities and community composting collaborations.
Wildlife Reserves Singapore
Tours were hosted for schools and community partners to visit the composter and test-bed, compost was donated to community gardens and other projects, and collected food waste from other sources were accepted to be compost at the Zoo site.
Treedots
In a bid to reduce food wastage by acting as a link between food producers, importers, distributors, consumers and F&B businesses, TreeDots collaborated with Food Bank Singapore to have excess edibles donated to them.
