OUR MISSION

The mission of the Climate Action SG Alliance is to advocate climate action in Singapore by harnessing the power of public communications to raise awareness levels among the public on climate issues and to translate this awareness into action.

The alliance aims to identify and adopt various channels to spur grassroots support and action to help Singapore achieve its sustainability targets and reduce its carbon emissions in order to reach its commitment under the Paris Agreement on climate change.

OUR OBJECTIVES

• To examine the current landscape regarding communication about climate change so as to identify key areas of improvement in Singapore’s climate change narrative.

• To pool, share and optimise common resources, leveraging on corporates for sponsorship and publicity, in order to more effectively advocate for climate action.

• To develop communications narratives and messages to raise awareness and generate action for different audience segments, and to subsequently disseminate those messages, leveraging on the reach and influence of the NGOs and advocacy groups.

• To establish meaningful measurements of success so as to realistically and adequately analyse the alliance and its communication efforts.

• To collate successful ground-up efforts and scale them up to a national level for greater impact.
